Some examples of my work in metal clay. Each piece is hand sculpted in Bronze, copper or silver. These pieces are NOT CAST. Metal clay is pulverized metal mixed with binders to form a workable clay. As with ceramics, it is then fired in a high temperature kiln.. but not too high, as the metal "sinters" rather than melts. it's kind of like making a hard packed snowball only in Metal.
My work is available for purchase upon request. Prices vary on complexity of the piece as well as the type of metal used. Bronze and copper pendants typically range from $45 to $75, and Silver run upwards from $70. Please keep in mind that while I can com close, duplicating a mermaid exactly is not possible with this method. I can come close, but since each piece is hand tooled and finished, there will be slight variations in every piece.
